About

David lives in Matunuck, Rhode Island with his wife Pamela. He is a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in mechanical engineering.  After 30 years as an engineer he changed paths and pursued a career as a freelance trombonist and teacher. During all of this time David continued his interest in photography, taking on freelance assignments and exhibiting his work. “I started when I was 10 years old and never stopped.  I slowed down for a while but I never stopped taking pictures.”
Over the decades one camera has replaced another, but David has remained committed to taking pictures his own way. “My father started me off and with the help of many along the way I developed my own style. I like to photograph everyday things that most photographers would walk past.”
David is a lifelong resident of Rhode Island and lived in Woonsocket before moving to Matunuck in 1993.  His first book, Under the Spell of Matunuck, was published in 2021.
